How Plants Come to Life
Artist’s Statement
How Plants Come to Life is a short zine about how plants have a certain level of sentience to provide sanctuary to people who need it. They give us a break from the artificial feeling that our modern lives can have. They can appear around us either by our invitation or by their own generosity.
ychzi (they/them) is an undergraduate biology student and independent illustrator based in the Washington, D.C. area. They hope to combine their home-brewed artistic skills and their higher education in STEM to become a scientific illustrator.
