Artist’s statement

My sanctuary piece was about the safety that I felt in my room after coming home from work during the pandemic. I was never really ever on a lockdown per say, I was an essential worker who needed her job to pay for school so I have been head first into this pandemic since the beginning. After coming home from my shift I would strip down and get a shower and cuddle up with my favorite stuffed animals on my bed and catch up on the news I had missed throughout the day.
